Light, flexible and beautifully close to the foot, the So Danca JZ76 Super Flex Jazz Shoe is a Dance World bestseller for good reason. Its soft leather upper and flexible central arch create an easy, foot-hugging fit, while the split rubber sole gives dancers the freedom to point, turn and move naturally.

From weekly jazz class to intensive college training, JZ76 is one of those dependable shoes that works across an impressively wide range of dancers and training levels.

Personality

Flexible • Responsive • Foot-Hugging • Studio-Reliable

Two classic shades give JZ76 a place across studio, college and stage. Black is the traditional choice for jazz class and professional training, while Caramel creates a softer, warmer look that blends naturally with the leg for performance and musical theatre. If you're buying for a dance school or college, always check their required shoe colour before ordering.

So Danca JZ76 – Design & Performance

The JZ76 is designed around one thing exceptionally well: moving naturally with the dancer's foot. The supple Phoenix leather upper sits closely around the toes and heel, while a flexible stretch section through the arch allows the middle of the shoe to follow the foot rather than restricting it.

This flexible central construction is one of the reasons JZ76 feels slightly more forgiving than a traditional all-leather jazz shoe. It adapts comfortably through the arch and instep while helping maintain the streamlined, close-to-the-foot silhouette dancers want from a jazz shoe.

Underneath, separate rubber forefoot and heel pads create the split sole. The exposed flexible midfoot allows excellent articulation, while the textured rubber contact points provide controlled traction for turns, travelling movement and jumps without making the shoe feel heavy or overly built-up.

The low-profile heel and slip-on construction keep the overall silhouette particularly clean. Combined with the close heel cup and pre-shaped feel through the arch, the result is a jazz shoe that enhances the natural foot line rather than visually interrupting it.

Dance World Notes

More forgiving through the middle: The flexible arch section adapts particularly well around the instep, making this model easier to fit than some more structured leather jazz shoes.

Beautiful foot line: The split sole and flexible arch allow the shoe to follow the pointed foot rather than creating a rigid section beneath the arch.

Training favourite: A strong option for regular jazz and musical theatre training, including dancers progressing into more intensive or college-level schedules.

Dance World Tip - When choosing between two sizes, check the heel as carefully as the toes. The flexible JZ76 can tolerate a little comfortable room at the front, but if the heel lifts noticeably when you point, walk or rise through the foot, the shoe is likely too generous.

Dance World Fit Advice

Close through the foot. Secure at the heel.

The JZ76 is slightly more forgiving through the arch thanks to its flexible middle section. From advanced dancers through to students and beginner adults, we generally recommend true to measured foot size through to ½ size up, depending on foot shape and preferred fit.

For younger dancers, approximately ½ to 1 full size up can allow for growth, provided the heel remains securely held with no slipping.

Dance World Fit Note: Always start from the dancer's measured foot, not the size of their everyday shoes. Aim for a clean foot line with the heel securely held and no noticeable slipping.

Fit advice is a guide only. Foot shape, width and preferred performance fit can affect the best size for each dancer.
